Knock sensor and KLR questions.

The pinout on the KLR seems to indicate that the KLR acts much like a GM knock module does, with the exception of the fact that it also handles boost control.

The pinout indicates, at least that I see, that the KLR requires power and ground, the knock sensor wires into it, and the KLR has a single pinout that handles the "yes/no" of knock indication. Would this "yes/no" operate a light?

I ask, because I read that knock sensors are tuned to the motors frequency, essentially, and require the correct sensor and module....so, I'm thinking I'll use a KLR as a counter, basically, and use that "on/off" out on the KLR to feed directly into my MS2 controller, which is running edis, for advance control.

Anyone have experience doing this?

Search PP or RL on do it yourself knock counters. It's covered.
