Got my headers in...mostly
DO NOT BUY FULL LENGTH HEADERS UNLESS YOU HAVE A LIFT!!
It was a ***** to get them in and there is still one snarl I have to work out...hopefully minor, too wrecked to go into detail right now but there are pictures of the makeshift "hi lift" and the car here: https://plus.google.com/116352624872368148575/posts/ApPmqz6N8Bn More pictures to follow. GHEN

Ha :-) No Chicago is a tough town but luckily not that tough.
One of the studs gave (is giving) me a lot of trouble. These are the engine studs that take an allen key made by Rennbay & sold here on Pelican Parts. Really nice to work with for 7/8 of them. One of the studs went in not very far and stuck! Tried to get it out with the allen ey and it stripped. Tried to double nut it out and it wouldn't come?!? I got those nuts as tight against each other as I could and they still turned without the stud. It was very frustrating. Finally I left it. I am going to buy a stud extractor attachment for my ratchet and get it out but it is certainly a mystery...it is as if there was epoxy in the blind hole (which I know there wasn't). Any thoughts are appreciated. GHEN

With the extra heat produced from the header I'd consider changing those fuel lines.

Might try heating with propane torch or welding a nut to the stud???

Fuel lines are on the list, however I did have the header coated at Jet Hot so that should handle some of that heat, no?
