ground MPIII - "inside firewall"
ground MPIII is "inside firewall ground" (see diagram below from the shop manual for late MY 944's)
I take this to mean it will be on the opposite face of the firewall - that is, not looking into the engine bay, but facing the driver (or something).

Recommend read & see pics of "Cranks no start story so far" Post... Hope it helps shead "light"with our OEM pleagued electrical problems. All the cars from 1969 to date have these sort of "Ghost in the Machine" also one Great Rock album by "The Police".....Nice Later...
