Speed and reference sensors
Hello gang,
I ran into a quirky problem when working on my 85.5 944 - On the mount block that mounts the speed and reference sensors is a third sensor to the outside of the other two - I can find no reference to this third sensor in the manual or any place else. Pfunny time to run into something unknown as I have the mount block and other sensors pulled out - even have a washer filed down to .8mm and glued to old sensor for clearance purposes when re-mounting. What is this third sensor - what is it for - are their any clearance or mounting instructions for it????? TYVM in advance, Ed. (Thank you very much)

Hi Ed, the third large opening is for a factory diagnostic plug which is no longer used.
Cheers, Larry

Larry thanks so much - Couldn't hardly feel good about putting it back together with out knowing what that third sensor was for...
