Host shipping issues

I'm very frustrated.

I ordered a laundry list of parts for my new 951 now 12 days ago and have been getting the run around for the last 6 days on shipping them to me. 12 days and they haven't even shipped! Everything I ordered was a regular stock item; I didn't want to delay getting parts as I'm under the gun to get the inspection done on the car before I can't drive it because of snow.

I ordered parts from 3 other suppliers that weren't available from Pelican and as of today, I've received everything. Any suggestions for OEM or equivalent parts suppliers as an alternative?

Did you call them for the status of your order?
Sometimes an item is on backorder and a vendor won't ship until the order is complete.

Please call them for an update.

I have spoken to them each day they were open since Thursday. I was assured that it was going to be shipped to me on Friday, it was not. 6 call again today, I've again been assured that it will ship today. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I have winter weather set to arrive shortly and required these parts to pass safety inspection before the car is put up for the window. If I had known it was going to take 12 days for the items to even ship, I would have bought elsewhere.

One of the things Pelican told me was that if it says "OEM" it is likely being ordered from Porsche and that adds extra days to the delivery time. Don't know if this was your situation.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

Typical. I only buy from here if I really don't care when I get the parts.

wow. I was in the mail-order auto parts business for 15 years. Generally, Pelican has always gotten an A from me.

Agreed. Aside from 2-3 items, any time I have ordered from Pelican I have received my order within 5 days, and I live on the opposite end of the continent

Good news, I finally received my order. Shipping was delayed for an ultra-rare oil pan gasket (some sarcasm involved).

I'm pleased to be able to move forward and that the matter is resolved. For reference, my order from our host took 14 days to arrive, an order I placed with Lindsey Racing on Monday afternoon arrived today too (yes, two days, to Canada).
