Operators manual

Just purchased a 1988 944. Where can I get an operators manual. I'm having trouble with the sunroofs rear latch. It remains in the unlatched position and unsecured. Also any good ideas on the best repair manual to purchase.

Foon..

Let's pose to you the usual questions:

When was the last time the timing belt was replaced?

If you don't know CHANGE IT NOW!

If this is a 16 valve "S" model change the cam cross over chain and it's pressure pads too.

When was the last time the clutch was replaced?

IF you get a really big clunk when in gear and pressing on the gas or in gear and letting off the gas then replace the clutch disk and the throw out bearing and the flywheel seal and resurface the flywheel and replace the pressure plate and replace the pilot bearing and possibly replace the TO fork and possibly the clutch slave and master cylinder. In most cases I've only had to replace the clutch disk.

While the loss of a clutch will keep the car from moving, the loss of a timing belt causes over $1200 in damage to the head and possibly the pistons.

PS: Please provide an obvious means of turning off the music on your web site.

PPS: Don't trust the PO's maintenance records unless you can confirm these with the place of repair.

PPPS: Don't waste your money on a stereo system. Do all of the necessary maintenance first!!!!

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
