Got a nice rebuilt starter locally,...

Well,... I sent the head back to the guy and he said the guides were ok. He lapped an checked to make sure all the valves are seating properly. He resealed the head. He thinks they are leaking because of a vacuum leak. He tried to convince me that the head was not torqued enough for the gasket to seal properly. I dont know. Well, this is where I stand as of now. I am definately selling the car. I pretty much have everything I need to get her running again. I have to get new plugs and a battery. I want to see I can rent leakdown kit from someone some how. As soon as it stops raining I will start putting her back together. I am going to call a couple of p-techs and ask about the timing. I still dont think that I did it wrong but it wouldnt hurt to ask. My cousin said to find out what the lifter clearence is and set the timing that way so it will be perfect. He does not like the idea of the 1.4mm. He said that is the approximate clearance. He said to find ou the exact clearance then set it that way. I will do that just for the hell of it. We'll see what happens.
