Fuse block for testing?

From time to time I am going to be testing or operating some auto electrical stuff (seats, windows, fans) without power from the car. What I am thinking of is some kind of fuse and distribution block that I could easily attach to a bare battery or maybe the jump post on another car instead of just a jumper in case I screw up and touch the wrong thing.

First thoughts were something fancy, but now I am edging toward cheap and simple, using a single inline blade fuse like I might find on a walmart amplifier wiring kit, and just replace the fuse as needed with the appropriate size for what I am testing.

Projects on the table include moving windows up and down and seats back and forth to remove them from my parts donor car that already has battery and some wiring removed.

I think simple is good. However for convenience add some kind of connector clips for the battery connections, your inline fuseholder (I recommend the ATC/ATO types - easiest insertion & color codes). I'd also add a push switch so you can make your connections then easily apply power as needed. Some connector probe clip options for the connection to your equipment under test and even an indicator light after the switch so you know you are applying power and have not blown the fuse...

Still pretty simple - but more functional & convenient.
