Wilbraham Tech Session lV

Wilbraham Tech Session lV

October 11th is the date for this year’s tech session in Wilbraham MA. The event is at our home and we will be starting at 10:00 AM and going until whenever the last stragglers feel like leaving :>)

The woodstove will be fired up and there will be plenty of good eats so please feel free to bring your spouse, S/O or friends. We will have at least two supercharged cars in attendance, one of which is my “still-never-been-on-the-track” track car. We usually get 25-30 928’s on the lawn so this is a great chance to see some nice cars and meet some great folks.

We are still looking for tech discussion ideas so lets have some suggestions! At this time the lift is not spoken for so if you have something you wanted to see or do under your car, this may be a good opportunity.

All you need to bring is yourself, a guest and hopefully your car! Drop me an e-mail at dtassinari@accentindustrial.com and I’ll give you the address and phone numbers.

Thanks!

Tass

I might come up if my 928 gets registered by then. I grew up in Ludlow and worked at Baker's garage on Boston Road when I was a kid long ago...

83 928S 5 speed. Used to have a 79 5 speed 19 years ago.

I remember when it was open, cool cars there, right? Didn't he go racing in CA? The building has been for sale for many many years.

I also grew up in Ludlow and had a 79' 5spd that I bought in 88' or 89'. I'm surprised we never ran into each other...did you ever get the car serviced at Rich's Autosport?

Holy Cow! I'm class of 1976.

My wife and I will definitely plan on being up. If the interest turns to racing, I build and race formula cars and am the Assistant Regional Exec of the New England Region SCCA. We should have some fun.

Looking forward to meeting everyone too.

Stan - I am also a Director of New England Region Investments, LLC and have been very involved in the Palmer track. We are negotiating with investors at this time. It looks like it is progressing - hoping to have the track done in Spring 2010.

I'll talk more about the track when I'm up in Wilbraham.

The track plans sounds great!

I certainly hope to have both my 928 race car and M3 track/street car back in action by then. I am hoping there will be clubs looking for instructors when it opens, with two track ready cars and a road course 15 minutes away, this could be nirvana for me (oh yeah and I have a very flexible work schedule too)

I may miss the morning part of the session, so please wait until the afternoon for any announcements

P.S. Maybe we will get Tass on the track in Palmer too!!!

With a track 15 minutes from my house, I would say I'm really out of excuses now !!

Tass,

My mother says she knows you...

Don't bank on the Palmer track being built quite yet. I (and others) have reservations.

Find us some million dollar investors - we have banks lined up to do the rest.

Seeyas in a few weeks.

Rob

Bump for the one-day-to-go mark.
Its not to late to get in on this.....no signup required, just go for a nice fall drive and drop in to say hi to 30-plus fellow 928'ers !
