Odometer not working

Hey guys does any one know how to fix the odometer when it's not working - I can see how fast I'm going so the cable should be fine so I am sure is in the unit itself. I have a 1980 us 928. What's the normal fix?

Rennbay.com or Roger for a new odo gear. Rennbay actually makes them, but Roger will know which you need and sells at the same price afaik, about $28.
