I'm not entirely convinced the attack additude is a 928 forum problem but a "R list" problem. I attempted to ask some "simple" questions in the Cayenne forum over there. I was immediately assalted by a bunch or know nothing warrantee weinee's. Same deal as when I was attacked by an admin on the 928 board over there. WTF? Can't we all get along? I'm sure some of the no votes came from some of the same small minded guy's that constantly stir up trouble and would bet some were from guy's that thought a no vote was just funny without any thought to the consequences. I'm on several other boards including this one. The additude of rudeness and mightier than thou is not tollerated or accepted.

I haven't heard anything, can't tell if the poll is closed or not, but last message I read in the thread said it was closed when I looked just now.

Hell this thread got me to log in over here for the first time in 4 years. I wasn't a participant in the Danglerbacle, but I'm definitely against lifetime banning for anything short of outright illegal behavior. And I just wanted to say to anyone who doesn't like Rennlist, there are idiots everywhere and they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Don't even bother. I for one have never had any issues with Rennlist and I've always found it to be a friendly place about the cars. The clique comments amaze me, never seen even a hint of that and I've been around longer than most, back to PorscheFans.
Come on back, water's fine. I voted.

I am still a bit amazed that some people think nothing has changed for me in two years. I don't really have any questions I want Rennlist to answer for me. I just want to see the pictures and diagrams in the technical threads, and be able to PM some of my non Pelican friends.
No need for drama, but sometimes Rennlist does not have a drama optional check box. Thanks again for all your efforts on my behalf. |

The thing is, the 75% mark was totally arbitrary.
Since Gretch is the main mod over there right now, if he doesn't want Mike back, Mike will probably not be back. I'm familiar with message board politics and understand why the rules are made this way, but as Mike points out he's got no access to rennlist photos right now. Making people join and log in to get photos is a weenie move, but not on topic here. My point is that rennlist is not a democracy so no matter what the vote is if the admins don't want him back, he won't be back. |
