Unhappy '80 Shark doesn't start

Guys, I have a’80 which was running perfectly well till past Monday, when I attempted to start it, it keeps on cranking but doesn’t start. Please help me figure it out. Have gas and battery is fine, new one.

Check for Spark. Check for Fuel Flow. I would do spark first as you can do this easily.

Might be a broken timing belt. The engine will spin faster than normal when trying to start due to lack of compression. You can also have a helper try to start it while looking down into the timing cover to see if the camshaft sprocket is turning. If the cam is not turning the timing belt is done.

Easy way to check timing belt IS to check for spark. Distributor is on the drivers camshaft. ie if you got no sparky check to see if dizzy spins and if not timing belt is broke.

Two birds... One wrench.

Another quick check is to put hand over exhaust while cranking to feel the pressure and flow.
