Very Rice and Very Nice. Black Rims are just the BEST ever. I'm not jaded at all.

Also, yup that's Russ's 928. But without his Sidepipes.

yeah i went and finished my prime rib from 3 days ago and came back to that picture on my screen and thought it was pretty gay looking for a porsche.... i have this shirt that is this (literally) blood red. like, a blood blood red, not the bright blood red. its the color of the stuff that would come out of your arm if you cut it.... i REALLY want that color, but i REALLY dont want the side effects of having a red car... anyway, what iam now wondering is if you guys know of the names of any blood blood red paint colors??

Well, the nicest RED I have ever seen, as well on a Porsche, is the newer Porsche Indischrot, which is more orange red than the older guards... I searched for a while for what color to do, and this new Indischrot Red took the cake.

Love it, just had my 928 done in it with black wheels and it looks delicious...

Velvet Red Metallic (81L), FTW! Of course I'm biased.

I agree the velvet red is a great color, especially on the S4 and later cars.

I think there are two different Iris blue colors. The early color and the later color. I myself think the later is much better. In fact there is a guy in Tampa that had his euro s repainted in the later Iris blue IIRC. Its very sharp. I'll try to find a link for it.

I was in the same boat as you a few years back- the champange metallic was old and fading and I'm a blue car guy... I went with LAPIS blue from Porsche. I did the new car dealer walk thru with a notepad in hand looking for the curviest bodystyles. Audi also has a similar metallic blue, but the Porsche engineers had it right- when the light hits the rear curves...
(in the overcast a slight purple hint- check it out.) Pics do not do it justice- get out there and see it for yourself. I think it was 2005/2006 Cayenne.

It is the later Iris Blue Metallic. It is a bit lighter than lapis blue, but not as light a cobalt blue.

Color code in door is... 39V 9 3 MS IRISBLAUMETALLIC

I had a Lapis blue boxster, it looked more like a dark navy blue...

I must mention that I was never a fan of 928's but that is, hands down the best looking Porsche I have ever seen a picture of. Not even the perfect proportions of the long hood 911's look as good as a 928 in that color!

Owning a 928 is risky business - but sometimes you just gotta say "what the fudge".
