what temp sender do i need

hello again can any of you knowledge filled folk tell me what coolant temp sender i need to fit my rad to convert it to electric fans .some pics of pamela coming soon she is painted but dont whats the more rough the paint or the way she idles

if your adding a set of fans to the radiator and your buying a kit the temp sensor is usually included with the fans as well as instructions on where the kit maker wants to have the temp probe installed.
Using the sender in the front of the radiator may not be the best as it is far away from the hot inlet,
That means that the fans may come on too late

would i be able to remove one of the bungs on the left side of the rad and get a temp sender to fit

Could you install a left side tank on the right side? I don't know if there would be clearance between the rad and the AC condenser for another temp switch but this would position it right at the entrance to the rad where it would be its hottest.

no tipple ..

Now they make temp sensors that are little rods that simply push into the outside of the radiator fins then the wire goes to a relay to turn on the fans.
also they have adjustable temp boxes where the temps can be adjusted for when to turn the fans on instead of just going to a relay
