'79 driver window seal
My window seal on the driver side is disintegrating. Did a quick search on the site, but didn't find too much. Where can I pick up a new or used one and what is the difficulty level/time to change out.
Thanks, |

If your talking about the outside squeegee, your in for some price sticker shock. I believe they are around $150 per side.

Good to know, but I need to replace the channel that the window closes into. The part that the window seals off when closed. I'm guessing it is a price shocker as well based on the squeegee!

I need the same parts for my 78. It is part number 928 537 324 03 and is showing in the Pelican catalogue at $206 for each side.

Thanks for the part number! Now I'm going to choke for a few seconds and think maybe I can live with the whistle a little longer LOL

I bought some black RTV today to fix my drivers seal. It's cracked and making loads of wind noise. Just needs to be filled in and smoothed out.

I purchased two window seals from the ebay link and am satisfied with the results. Turns out the parts were used, but in reasonably good condition.
It took me about an hour to install each side. It takes a lot of time/effort to press the rubber retainer into the skinny little slot in the window. On the second side, I put some light oil on the rubber and it we much easier to press the rubber into place. It is great to stop the wind noise and have the seals working properly. Rick |
