Problems with AC compressors
I have a 1979 928 euro and my AC compressor is not working. I checked the clutch with a hot wire and it does not click at all. The clutch spins freely but it does noothing when I put 12v to it to check it. So I bought a used compressor from a salvage yard and the clutch on it is bad too because I ran the same test. What should I do? I saw a used clutch on 928 International for $150. Should I just go that route and change the clutch on the original compressor? I have the first gen compressors and not the one on the 80 model and up. I just need a compressor with a clutch that clicks when I put 12v to is so I can fix my AC. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

928 Intl Used Parts is guaranteed, so if no clicky, then you get another one.

Did you do an online order? If so, follow up with an email or phone cal to Tom. Sometimes, the stuff they put online isn't even in stock. Happened a couple time to me.
