AC and part # question
If I have no record of it from previous owner and there's no decal anywhere saying it, how do I know if my 87 S4 has been updated to R134? The R12 decal on the top left of the radiator is gone but the other two decals are there and in good shape which i've seen on many other 928's as well, so does this indicate it's been updated?
Does anybody know the part number to the steering wheel horn pad caps on the back sides of the horn pad? I can't seem to find it listed anywhere. ![]() ![]() Last edited by 1968-912-coupe; 05-14-2011 at 04:18 PM.. |

Usually an updated system will have the quick release fittings instead of the screw on fittings of the r-12 system. Not a guarantee that it has not been changed but probable. Only real way is to use gas analyzer.

Weird, even in PET, it doesn't show a Steering Wheel. It shows all the Dashboard and pieces.

On my '86.5 the high side is off the receiver dryer located on passenger side next to aux fan. The low side is under upper radiator hose (passenger side) and is a bit more difficult to reach.
