Indicator noise..
When I turn on my indicators, there is no audible signal. In all other cars I have driven, there is a noticeable (sometimes annoying) clicking-noise, but in the 928 all I can hear if really REALLY quiet is the relay.
Is it supposed to be like this, or is my car missing something? How is yours? I hope you understand my question ![]()

the relay is on the CE panel under the carpet.
close the door with the windows up turn on the key to the run position with the engine off turn on the signal listen you should hear the relay clicking.. IOW everything is normal

Obviously, you didn't understand my question...
What you discribed is excactly what I have done. What I'm asking is whether there is an extra audio signal connected with the turn signals.

I doubt it Riber. Any car I've driven was just the Relay making the clicking noise, some louder or softer than others. If it works, move on. How about your Headlight adjusters?

The hydraulic ones?
They are bone dry, probably have been since 10 years ago. I affixed them in the most upright position, adjusted them down and have not given it any thought since. I don't carry much weight in the trunk, and in general hardly ever use the pop-ups.. I can snap some pics of my "fix". (MacGyver style) The reason I'm not just moving on with the clicker noise is that sometimes I have to double check that I've actually turned them on by looking at the dash. And in the beemer and the Citroën I previously drove, there is an extra "clicker" connected to the indicator relay.

Ahh sorry there isnt any other clicker for the signals ,
you could always just pull off the CE panel cover and remove the carpets then you will hear the relays clicking
