what type of ATF fluid to use
All:
Need to top off the ATF fluid in my 1987 928 getting a bunch of differing recommendations. So which is the correct ATF fluid to use. Understand the wrong fluid will ruin the seals Thanks as always Provenceman |

The reservior cap says Dexron 2. I use Castrol mult vehicle. It satisfies the need for Dexron. Next time I'm going to use whatever Mercedes uses for Dexron.
DON'T put import car trans fluid in it.

Castrol Dexron 111 HUMMMM

I have been using Dexrton 3/4 Its made by Valvoline its called Max life,
The same fluid is also used in the power steering
