Finally got some time to work on the 928.

Well, i disappeared for a while. Im back, for the time being, and i grasped some time to put into the 928.

What im doing- Pulling the tranny.and im stuck at one of the steps. Im dealing with pulling the emergency cable out of the back of the rear brakes. I dont know how to get it out. Do i have to pull the rotor? Thanks in advance.

Hadn't started it in 3 months, and this is the only day since ive been off thats been decent to work in. Turned the key, cranked over a few times, and busted off.

Thanks in advance.

You don't.

Disconnect at the pull handle.
Use vice grips, then, to wiggle/twist it out from body.
The whole cable then goes with the rear axle and wheels.

Oh, ok. Then i just feed it back through when im done. Sounds good. I would have had it changed today if i knew that.. The guide i have (I cant remember who gave it to me) just said "Gently tug on the fitting in the wheel well to remove the cable housing" I thought it meant disconnect it from the brakes themselves.

Thanks for that bit of info.
