NorCal, near SF, Sac, or boonies? We have a lot of owners in the SF area, and I think a couple places along the 5.

Those noises shifting mean shift more slowly or don't shift, wait for the car to slow down etc., or try that fancy double clutching. Otherwise it will get worse. Eventually it means rebuilding the transmission.

Got the car back. My mechanic told me to let the car wind down a bit before downshifting. He got the harness in, injection lines replaced, and the gear oil in the transaxle swapped out.

Once I get to the laptop I'll update the profile. The car got serviced in Walnut Grove Ca.

Which Gear oil did you go with? I stick with Redline, but some go with Mobil 1 or Royal Purple.

-Will probably do the vacuum lines myself
-Order the tune up kit from Pelican and get new spark plug wires and the green wire. They look like original eqipment
-Chuck that old alarm switch under the dash, need to chase down the wires on that
-Find a decent bodyshop to throw some paint on the car
--Need to replace or repair the bumper shocks on the car, get the rubber bead for the front bumper,
Any suggestions on replacing the power antenna? I was thinking something more low profile and not something with a motor in it (Power antennas are nothing but problems for me. They usually are broken within in weeks of ownership, unless the car is a total garage queen or museum piece)
I see more overtime work in my future.

Could you post more pics of teh interior? Does the back seat cloth match the front seat cloth??? Very rare to see a US car with cloth if its stock. I would love to see more of the interior.

Think one of PO's recovered the front seats. The midget rear buckets are all leather and in need of a redo.

I do like the feel of the front seats. I'm not scorching myself when I wear shorts in the summer.

I hate the mechanical noise of the stock unit, and have I think a new one I would be happy to sell cheap that the PO never got around to having installed on my car before selling.

I used the cheapest sell on ebay, but this is the same as mine, $10 shipped.
