I am giving mine a break. Motorcycle tomorrow. I've been driving her everyday about 100 miles a day for a week. Today temps reached 100 here. I have no air cond. but the drive was still pleasant.

I cleaned my starter connections. And finished up electric fan install, replaced 4 big coolant hose clamps and added coolant wetter. it is the original starter and by the looks of it, the connections where never cleaned up in 30 years. Completely disconnected battery of course. 40 minutes spent tops.

Will do....got (2) fixtures hung, wire pulled between them, switch box installed, wire pulled 1/2 way from switchbox to lights. Gotta finish that pull, and then pull power from the panel....might have lights this weekend! (Or not, if the honeydoos don't stop coming...)

I took the injectors out on Saturday, and sent them off to InjectorRX for testing and cleaning. Also will be replacing fuel lines, of course. The rear nut on these fuel rails, oh boy. I thought the job was over before it began.

This is fubar week, such that I actually NEED to drive my 928. Fixed a bad wire on the radiator fan, cleaned leaves out of the leaf catcher, vacuumed old coolant from around the thermostat, washed it, cleaned the windows, aired the tires. I may actually put a couple hundred more miles on it Tuesday.

1.Used an HVAC tool to hone out my exhaust manifold (log) after filing in a few areas worked well. All but the bend at cyl.s #1 and #5 the tool get way into the header. Sorry i will share after photo later didn't download. 2.Aligned my Y pipe better, off center with manifolds. 3.Rotated my clutch release guide tube cleaned it and applied extreme pressure/heat grease to the appropriate surface. 4. snugged down oil sump bolts,,again. Runs and shifts great, no more pedal click. Guess which finger is shorter by .5"? Joiner accident at 18.

I think Porken actually ported his iron log exhaust manifold with good results, but grinding iron is nasty work. I've got electrical work in my future. Dash reads about 2v below the jump post, but I'm due for a clean all the ground points and a new battery ground strap.

It is nasty but once your in there it's hard to stop finding things to do. 30 years is a long time with just oil changes. See how bad my Motor to Body ground strap looks? Will replace. This wire tool can be guided way up into the manifold. Only the tight curve of cylinder #1 and 5 stop the tool. They wear out pretty quick though. going to US Plumbing Supply to get a few more. cheap. I will start the car before connecting Y pipe for a few seconds to blow out any debris. Good luck with finding the Gremlim.

Well, she sat for 20 years with the same gunk in her. I hope that goop was not all that was holding it together.

Don't blame the weights, more like the person that put them on didn't clean the wheel first. Original fill on the manual transmission is super stinky sulfur smell, good stuff I guess.
