Installing 928 engine, need help
Hey guys, I am installing a 1980 928 engine, which I did not remove, and I am having trouble connecting some vacuum lines. Does anyone have a vacuum diagram??
If not, can anyone tell me where the thin metal vacuum tube connects to? The one that is bolted to the front of the intake manifold, runs alongside the body and ends up near the firewall. What does this connect to?? Also, where does the vacuum advance for the ditributor connect to? Thank you in advance!! Mike

Hello
The one that is bolted to the front of the intake manifold, runs alongside the body and ends up near the firewall. What does this connect to?? Carbon canister vent line ? Vacuum advance is at the throttle body ( ROW not sure about US ) Grüsse |

Hi Grusse, thanks for the reply, the vacuum line I was referring to was actually the automatic transmission modulator vacuum signal.
I have a few more questions though... I can't seem to locate the starter solenoid wire. You know, the thin wire that activates the starter when you turn the key... I can't seem to find where it should be coming from!! Also, there is a wire harness coming from the alternaor and starter harness that runs along the front of the engine, near the timing covers. It runs to the right side of the car to the side of the fender. It consists of 3 wires, one thick one that obviously connects to the power distribution center on the right inner fender, but it also has two other little wires with loop connectors, but I can'y seem to find where these two should connectn to. Anyone??? Thanks!

"Grusse" is a closing statement - kind of like "sincerely" translated it means "greetings"
Mit freundlichen grüßen AFJuvat

that funny looking "B" is a double "S" I'm not intending to be a prick, just having a little bit of fun. PM for some information about your problem. AFJuvat
