what's this part called

hi there. there is a part that doesnt quite read correct on the ohm meter. i was wondering if anyone knows what this part is called and how it might affect the engine.

1982 US automatic

I believe that is your "temperature time switch" for your cold start injector.

Double check the Manuel but I believe that depending on the temp the ohms reading can change just make sure your within range

Not sure, but i think that one combines a thermocouple with a switch so you'll get some whacky readings depending on the temp and how you are measuring it.
