check engine light will not come on
I have a 95 993. I went to get a smog check and the car passed with flying colors except...the check engine light would not come on with the ignition key on.
I checked the bulb which was fine and actually replaced it just to make sure. Before I go any further any suggestions out there? |

That's strange. I checked the wiring diagram and the CEL is directly connected to the DME.

Did you check for voltage to the bulb? Check all contacts? Could be any number of things from a broken wire, corroded contact or the DME.
