Trying to access technical article on steering rack replace

Having trouble viewing the images on tech article about replacing the leaking steering rack of my 993 1996 carrera. When I try to open the image I get forbidden 403 error message. How do I access these images?

I have found that a lot of the tech articles on PP haven’t transitioned properly when they did the upgrade. It seem that the photos can’t load for some reason unfortunately. It is a real shame as the upgrade appears to be a downgrade.

What did you need to know. I just rebuilt a 964 unit but haven't installed it yet.

Pretty simple system just need to take your time to rebuild it. The early 964 racks were a little different and the new seal kits make some changes using an improved design shown above. I lifted the first pic from another site.

Anthony. Have you ever swapped a 993 rack into a 964?

I had considered it but haven't done it yet. I can't find a reasonable core to do the job and they are nearly $5k new.

I think I have a spare good 993 rack if you're looking. I always wanted to try one as they are a quicker ratio and definitely have a different feel.

I tried to look up the tech article:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/pcar_com/993_steering_rack_replacement.htm

But on my end the images will not load either. I am told we are working on getting the image links fixed so at least know it is in the works. With some searching I found this thread which has links to an article by p-car with images, which is also the source of our DIY article. You can find that thread linked here:
Removing 964 steering rack

Hope this helps!
