3.6 stalling problem
Hi guys I have an 82 911 with a 93 3.6 starts and runs great after a few minutes I gurgles and tries to stall. If I turn it of and restart it runs great for a couple minutes then repeat again. Any ideas? Thanks Kevin

Does this only occur when the engine is warm/hot - like sitting in a queue and watching the temp increase?

Not sure then. The carbon cannister under the rear left wheel arch cover is part of the fuel evaporative system - collects fuel vapors from the fuel tank when idling/stationary. When driving fuel vapors are burned by the engine. An old or faulty cannister can cause starting, idling, acceleration problems when the engine is warm. Not normally a cold day problem - typically hot day and/or prolonged idling.
I did experience this in long traffic queues in the middle of a hot French summer. New cannister and all problems disappeared. However, this may not at all be your issue (but worth keeping in future mind). Turbofan has given main pointers above.
