Another random rant on the wave/flash...
Sat. I went to meet my folks for dinner at Wildflowers in Pennington, NJ - just a few hundred yards from Autotechnik
![]() On the way back to VA yesterday, I was cooking along 95S in DE at a very brisk pace, spotted a '95 arctic silver 993 a few cars ahead and proceeded to weave my way up next to him. I tailed him for a while and when he wanted to switch lanes, I flashed, later pulled up next to him, ahead of him, dropped back behind him, etc. Over about 10 miles I never got so much as an acknowledgement from this loser (DE tags btw). I was getting more attention from the BMW and Minivan people than from this silver 993. I think it must have been a loaner car while he was having the cup holder in his Boxster repaired.

Richard,
Same thing tonight for me. ![]() Cruising along about 80km/h. See a silver 993 GT ahead. Catchup and pull along side. I was scoping out the bolt-on flares (not too much to my liking...anyhow...he finally turns and takes a look my way. I give him a smile and a nod and he just turns and looks straight ahead. My 964 has lots of engine mods that cant be seen so it looks pretty stock but with a lightweight flywheel and a LOUD exhaust it musters some aggression when you plant your foot. So I drop back to second and put some fuel down its throat and I'm off. a few minutes later we come to a hold up at a tunnel entrance and he pulls up right beside. Again I'm hoping he might have a curious glance but no, sits stony face, totally disinterested. Maybe he's had some problems during the day but doesn't a friendly wave, a nod or someone checking out your car brighten things a bit???? ![]() Some get it, many don't.

Mark, how do you get to enjoy a p-car in HK? It looks so crwoded, all I can think about is when I've driven in Manhattan and wonder how a Porsche dealership survives there. I may be in HK in November and will keep an eye out for p-cars.

Richard, if you come to HK please give me a call. It would be most sincere pleasure to treat you to some hospitality. If you keep in mind that the first Sunday of each month is the PCHK drive day and you can time your visit, you are most welcome to join me and see how we enjoy our p-cars HK style.
Did you know that 70% of HK is country parks with lots of windy roads ![]() Cheers Mark

I had the opposite experience. I was recently flashed by someone in a Cayenne! I was so stunned that I did not even think of flashing him back until after he had already passed. Bet he thinks I'm a 911 snob!
