Question Another caliper question

Thanks to Bill I have found that the 993 RS Americana has rear calipers with a larger piston diameters than the other 993s. Now I am wondering if there is a 996 all wheel drive with similar larger piston rear calipers. I'm sure Bill will know this too Thanks in advance.
Will

Huh?

I don't know if you meant me, but here is a link to my brake spec page , I have never heard of a '993 RS Americana'

I am working on updates through the GT3s but need more time and information. The only ones I've had my hands on are the 996 Cupcars 6 piston Brembos and matching rears.

Hi Bill,
Yes I meant you. You answered a question a while back for me about the 993 RS caliper. I meant RS America like here. http://www.rsamerica.net/faqs/index.htm#7
I am basically trying to find out if there is a 996 Porsche that has a rear monoblock with a piston diameter closer to 36/30 that the 993RS had instead of the 28/30 piston diameter that most 993 and 996 rear calipers have. Is there an all wheel drive 996? This would be the obvious place to start looking. I was planning on useing the 993 RS rear, but it is scarce on the used market and would have to be machined to make it mount radially instead of axially. I am hoping I can find a monoblock with similar sized pistons since they all seem to mount radially.
Thanks, Will

I think you mean 964 RS America. The rear calipars on 92-94 cars are four pot vs the lame 2 pot that is on the 91 964's like mine...

As Pete000 said the 964 RS America uses a 28/30 small rear caliper. The 993RS uses a 30/36 midsize caliper.

The 993 rear calipers are 30/34 and are otherwise the same as the 964 rears.

The monoblock calipersI have seen use the same piston sizes and ratios as the older calipers.

The largest rear calipers are the 993RS

I apollogize for not knowing my models. The model I was actually refering to is the 993 RS. What is the name of the 996 with all wheel drive? Has anyone ever measured piston diameter of the calipers on one? Thanks for the info. I know you guys probably get tired of trolls coming to your board to get brake info
