Do I really need it?
Hi Guys! I am a new Porsche owner. Bought a 75 911S in Sept and am restoring it. My question is this:
Do I actually have to put oil in the strut housing after changing my shocks? Whats that for? What kind of oil do you guys use? Also: I am thinking of putting thread locker blue on the ball joint nut. If I do this, will I still need that big flower looking peice that ensures the nut doesn't come off? Thanks!

This is kind of the wrong forum for this question.
But since you are new... ![]() Yes, you need the oil - it cools the strut. Blue loctite is fine, but yes, you still need the locking washers and cotter pins. Welcome to the BBS AFJuvat
