				brake accumulator,,where is location of bleed valve???
			 
			bleeding/changing fluid in my system,,found the brake accumulator on my 1992 964 turbo but cant find the bleeder valve on it,,can anybody tell me where it is or what it looks like????aaaah!!...help!!

			If you don't have a shop manual, get one.  There can be 180bar of residual pressure in the system you are playing w/ dynomite.

			yeah ive got a shop manual but i cant see where the bleed valve is on the drawing or the accumulator itself????,,need to know where the bleed valve is so i can bleed when changing the fluid!..here is a picture below to see if anyone knows how to bleed??..this sits in the front luggage comp nearest the bumper  side   Last edited by stup; 05-30-2007 at 01:52 PM.. | ||

			WARNING:  pressures of up to 180 bar are present at the accumulator. Follow workshop instructions exactly.

			Very interesting, anybody have any insight on how this is bled, I have to replace the one steel line that is shown in the picture, as there was a small battery fire on the car I am working on right now.

			Essentially, you charge the accumulator and then disconnect power to the ABS pump.  Then you bleed at the accumulator.  Close the bleeder valve, and then start the ABS pump to recharge. Some method of securing the bleeder hose to the valve is recommended. I always had luck with using silicone hose and securing it with a zip-tie.
