simple LSD question
Guys:
Is there anyway to tell from the VIN (or some other designation on the car) if my '95 993 has limited slip diff? Being new to the car I think I understand that if the car is on the rack you can rotate one rear wheel and check whether the opposite wheel rotates. But if the other wheel doesn't rotate how can you tell if the unit is simply badly worn and not engaging, or if the unit doesn't exist? You might guess there is a back story to this and there is, but all of that is really beyond the point now. Thanks a bunch for any help with such (I think) a basic question. Ed |

2 ways
1) look at the option plate. M220 was ABD & LSD 2) look at the ABS pump if there are 3 lines to the brakes it is non LSD. If there are 4 lines it is the M220 ABS & LSD option. this only works on 2wd cars This is a 4 line M220 ABS setup ![]()
