993 computor lite

Can the back lite on the 993 computor screen be replaced. car is 96 turbo.

If you are talking about the trip computer housed in the tach, yes it can be replaced. I'd suggest sending it to North Hollywood Spedometer.

Better yet, how about using Pelican Parts since they have a source for
Porsche instruments repair. Don't think that NHS has a FREE forum
for Porsche cars, right?

Slatts, Dont act so quick....
In the sunlight, can you see the charactors inside the display? If so, all it is is a lightbulb.
Check it, because it is a big pain to remove the tach- it involve pulling the steering wheel, and the covers around the steering column. I know, I just fixed my father's C4S display.

Is the bulb replaceable from the back, or do have to split open the tach?

from the back, but you have to remove it from the dash.
