If your car is a 1996-1998 993 it has the OBDII diagnostics. Eliminating the cat may throw a code/CEL. Depending upon emmissions testing where you live this may cause you some headaches. If you have a 1995 993 you should be fine.
Has anyone figured out how to run a cat bypass on 96+ cars without a CEL? - Rennlist Discussion Forums

Standalone EMS or The right resistor on the down stream o2 sensor will fix the code. You only need the first O2 sensor for the car to run right.
