Talking Help Wanted: Basic instructions on removing 964 rear axels (C-2)

The title says it all. I have two torn CV boots and can get the axels rebuilt for under $100 each w/ shipping. 173,000 miles on my '90, seems like I may as well go for it. But I have to send mine in for rebuild, so can't just take one out and put new one in right away.

Can anybody direct me to an "Idiot's guide for removing 964 C-2 rear axels"?

Thanks a ton; I've done some searching here but didn't find anything as basic/specific as I need. I understand I don't need to worry about screwing up my alignment, I hope that's accurate.
