Hi everyone, I'm new on P.P. and I need information in the brake rotors brake pads and all other needed information for the braking upgrade I am installing. I am the current owner of a 1993 Toyota Celica GT-FOUR (japan import) and I bought myself a rebuilt set of 4 calipers (front and rear) of a 1992 carrera 964. The bolt pattern on my GT-FOUR is 5x100 and i have found the 12" rotors off a 2005 impreza would be a perfect fit for my spindle and the front rotors yet i'm in need of all the dimensions of the front and rear rotors of a 964. Thanks a million for the help!

Thanks for that link it helped alot. I find it a bit strange that I got different measurements last night when I was talking with some people. I was told 322mm dia. x 32mm thick (front) and 299mm dia. x 24mm thick (rear). I'll bring them roughtly to 12" rotors and for the thickness I will need to review everything. I should be good as long as it fits in my mags. I'll post some pictures of the upgrade. Thanks again for your help it was very appreciated.

The closest possible resemblance i found was on the tenth post of this thread:
c-2 rear calipers The black set of four looks exactly like my caliper set. the guy refers to them as coming off of a 964 C2. Can anyone confirm this for me? Im pretty sure of what he is saying yet i wanna be 100% sure so i dont buy useless rotors. and also im curious to know how that porsche brake kit chart work, because in the C2 column the pad areais different from front to back yet the dimensions are the same... If anyone knows of any tollerances via the disc dimensions it would also be very appreciated. |

Backing down would refer to giving up on my endeavor. correcting yourself isnt backing down its showing understanding and admitting to an error is more in the maturity side of things. nice try though. why dont you help instead of saying absolutely nothing important?

It would help if you had a sense of humor, anyhow Mr Verburgs picture in post #10 is the early (1990, 91 and maybe 92 964 calipers, 4 pot front , 2 pot rear,
the later 964 had 4 pot front and rear) Mr Verburg is the expert on brakes and perhaps he can answer your questions further but I can confirm that the calipers in his post #10 are 964 (early) I just replaced my 2 pot rears with 4 pot, have yet to drive the car though And there was nothing wrong with the 2 pot rear set up, brakes were great but pad choice was limited as the 2 pot rears do not use the same pads as the four pot.and what was available was too pricey The 2 pot and 4 pot rears use the same rotor, 4 pot front and rears use same pads and I was due for rear pads so got things sorted out in that manner Last edited by 964TargaC2; 04-16-2013 at 05:11 PM.. |

I wanna thank everyone here for the help i got everything to work ! I'm so excited at the moment.the project got bigger but way cooler. now officially my celica will be sporting the C2 kit i was able to find the front and rear rotors to fit my celica gt4 and the calipers. i found that the subaru legacy 2009 has front discs with the right dimensions and all. and the fronts from a wrx 2009 fit perfect on the rear andi will machine the diameter of the fronts and machine brackets. so amazing.
