factory CD-2...how to get the code?
I have a '93 3.6 Turbo that came with the optional CD-2 in-dash CD player. I want to return the car to 100% stock, as the former owner installed another radio unit.
The guys at my local Porsche dealership told me that there is no way to get the code for the radio. But I canīt believe this. Thanks. |

Do a search on the internet with the specifics of your radio. I bought a CDR 220 for my car, and got the code that way, but it did cost me $15.00.

I just bought a used one. The seller was able to call the Alpine factory and get the code.

The dealer tells me they can get the code also from the serial number on the radio. Is that a good choice if the quality of the radio is a higher priority than making the car perfectly original?
