3 Different part numbers. Which ECUs work for what years?
I've seen 964 ECUs with 3 different part numbers:
96461812182 96461812450 96461812471 What years are each of these good for? |

Here is what I copied from the PPS a while back.
3.6 DME Part Numbers If the third set of digits is 123 -- no drive block. If they are 124 it has drive block. RoW tip DMEs are 993.618.115.XX or 993.618.120.XX. Steve Wong: For 96-98 ROW VRAM, .678 DMEs are non-Driveblock and the .679 DMEs are Driveblock. The only difference between the two DMEs is the chip inside. The coding on the .679 chip DME has the Driveblock code. Changing the chip inside to a .678 DME changes the DME to a .678 unit and completely removes the Driveblock coding. Your .679 chip is what prevents your car from running. This also applies to the European 993RS -- .677 DME for Driveblock and a .697 unit for non-Driveblock.

cmonref: I don't understand your reply. My question concerned the 964, which was manufactured between 1989 and 1994. Your response seems to address the 993, which followed the 1964. Is there info on the 964 buried somewhere in your post Thx

I have a 911.618.124.01 in front of me which came with a 964 engine I bought. Engine number 62L07089. Is this EMU correct for this engine? Thx.
