Hello, Thank you for adding me to the forum
![]() Pls, Help! My 996 adjustment button for instrument illumination/Trip counter and Button of Clock has broke off from the shaft close to the plastic round openings while cleaning the dash with large towel ![]() I could not find any guide or help online how to replace them. see pix of buttons top of speedometer. Thanks for looking. ![]() |

Sadly this stupid breakable part is not available from Porsche.
There is a guy in Canada as I recall that sells a crappy replica of the plastic shaft. The part is serviceable with a little sanding. Price was $29ish. You might search the other popular website r+++list . For most people it's the clock knob that brakes off. You will have to remove the cluster, after that its pretty obvious on how to replace the shaft. The other option is finding a used cluster. Best, Paul |
