Should I remove my window net?

I have seen countless pics here and other BBS's of drivers participating in various track events other than actual competition like the SCCA, POC Cup and PCA racing. At these 'open' days or DE's, even the fully race prep'd cars don't seem to use the net. I could certainly make better hand signals without the net, although I don't see how I could make TOO much of a beeter hand signal outside the car with arm restraints.

On the subject of arm restraints, I have a belief that MOST are not wearing these either. What's the deal?

Like I said, I could make better hand signals (important when you have a slower car like a 914-4) without a net or restraints.

depending on the group I am running with, I use or not use my window net, if I am planning on pushing a little harder, I use the net, my safety comes first, but if it is a school where I will be at 8/10ths then no net so I can hepl others around me more with hand signals.

Simply put, if I will be one of the faster cars, no need to signal, anyone catching me should know what to do, but if I am running slower, I want to signal so I can follow and teach.
