That would run in GT2-S or R depending on your tire choice. This is a very tough class.

Cheers, James

Yep. Basically an unlimited Class over 3.4Liters.

You'd have to spend another $100k or so to be competitive. Actually, $100k might not even get you on the grid...

The biggest problem you would face is you would be the slowest class on the track, GT2S, will run in the fastest group. GT3S used to run in the fastest group and sometimes still does. The one time I ran GT3S, I was in the fastest group, I felt like I was standing still on the track.

The 3.6 t/p is not a good choice for racing in PCA, in fact I can't think of any t/p that is a good idea in that venue.

Yeah, you would be a sheep in among the wolves . . .

3.6 t/p into SC: 275 HP, 245/275 rubber, 2500#, torsion bars

Purpose-built GT2S: 350-380 hp, 275/315 rubber, 2300#, coil springs

Destroking to 3.4 doesn't help much, just puts you in GT3!

The 993 that Skip is selling is a wonderful car...very easy to drive and very fast. If someone can get that car for $70K you would be doing great!

I think you might even get a "spare" motor with this deal. The motor he had in there before the AASCO motor grenaded in spectacular fashion a couple of years ago...I think there are enough good parts still on the motor to make it worthwhile to rebuild or to have "just in case".

If you are going to invest $100K, I would suggest investing in moving to CA, and come run with the PRC Toyo Cup, sell off the 3.6, get a 3.0, take the leftover and put into suspension and safety stuff, cheaper racing, CA living (not that West Palm Beach is bad, pretty sweet really but there is no Toyo Cup there).

However $100K will only be the down payment on the house, so you will have a mortgage, and have to pay our taxes, and our gas prices......never mind, just spend the money on a race car.

Dude...I grew up in the Valley........

Work keeps me here but I have Homestaed, Morosao and Sebring close by......and yes, I'm going to go the 3.0 route this year......
