Hey there! I have a slantnose as well, and I'd love to go from my (I think RX7 based?) headlights to this more OEM style. Did you use 914/944 headlights for the core of this? Thansk!

I think there were just two versions of the headlights for the slant nose. I am talking about the aftermarket slant nose and both of them use the RX motors in the headlight. Some designs had the round headlights and somehow the rectangular ones. I also prefer the round ones but you have to have the correct matching fenders for them because I believe they were slightly different.

Not gonna lie, jealous! Was hoping to have my engine/tranny in time for the holidays to focus on the build... but the life and wife decided otherwise. Looking good!

I moved ahead with the motor since it is just sitting. Hoping the car comes back with the body done one of these days...

Ryan, do you already have an EFI on the SBC?

That might be a good and easy change instead of a complete swap..

I've considered it but I'd like to get a powerplant that I can comfortably rev to near 7,000. Sounds like that'd be difficult and not overly reliable in an SBC.

Not something I'm going to undertake now, but once I get another fun toy in the stable I'm thinking of dismantling and rebuilding my 1972 to a higher level of finish.

Looking incredible. Like social media, browsing these threads make me see the flaws in my cars. Haha!

It’s been a while. I have been working on the car for a couple months after getting it back about a year ago. The wiring on this car was fire damaged so I had to remove quite a bit and it’s starting to look like it’s coming together. My buddy Charlie has been helping me with the roof. I got a sunroof-delete roof from someone in the Hudson Valley and getting ready to put it on. After that, we are going to adjust the right quarter panel by moving it forward 1/2 an inch and probably have to cut some new panels but it is fixable. Hoping the brand new turbo rockers from Pelican line up and that the rear quarters will align with some tweaking to the rear quarter extensions. My LS7 427/570 awaits…
