Whats your tank look like and how much you looking to get for it? If my Radiator design does not work out I will need to go to plan B with a front mount and tank modification

If you have some pictures please send

gas tank

this is the rh gas tank. i decided to go with the cut down regular tank and removed it from my car. i will sell for 60 per cent of what ever rh is selling these for now. i was running an external big horsepower pump that made way to much noise for me. so i converted to a cutdown tank with a fore precision fuel pump hat custom made for a lightning pickup truck the hat will hold up to 3 wahlberg fuel pumps and is not to difficult to custom mount in the porsche tank. i run two pumps with ss braided pressure and return lines.....dash 12 and dash 10., racing style fuel filter canister, and a pressure regulator. i had north hollywood make an appropriate dual gauge to mount in the clock opening that shows fuel pressure and oil temperature. . looks right and matches the other gauges. the straps on the tank i made to hold in place.

The adapter that Renegade sells is made by Kennedy. But the other key component that you need is the engine cradle. I don't think Renegade sells parts individually, so if you buy their base kit, you get both the cradle and the adapter (plus some other goodies) AND a wealth of knowledge when you call.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't an endorsement for RH, as you can see from this thread, there is A LOT of fabrication work needed to complete a conversion like this. The kit is by no means plug and play. I am one and a half years into the conversion and I'm at about the same point as 'shanghai_todd'. From his posts it looks like he is going on 3 years ... granted he seems to take long vacations in the Far East a few times a year

Todd, my apologies for hijacking your thread, I'll be quite now. Mike

I just got the basic kit from RH, where your lower horizontal engine cradle pieces pre drilled or did you have to drill yours?

No they were not, every car is a little different so you need to be able to move the engine into place with backward and foward movement. Once you get it installed and the car and engine are settled into place then you drill the cradle. I did a 3-step drill process so that i would not burn out my bits. Takes a little more time but much easier

Rebel911 and Mbaran, You guys plan on doing a post of your builds to share your information?

I have been out of the states for over a month so I have no new updates as far as my car. I did get the exhaust finished and will post some pictures as soon as I get my camera back

Cool, it is great to see more of these LS1 conversions on this site. Some may argue the fact or get sick but bottom line is my conversion bang for the buck has been cheaper. Not to mention I can walk into any auto store and by plugs, sensors, filters, coils, alternator, ect.. for a fraction of the price

Been awhile since my last update but figured I would share some of my results for my exhaust. My goal was avoid as much as possible sounding like a V8 Vette or Camaro and to remain a sleeper or 911 tone.

I ended up settling for (2) Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler and (1) Dynomax Cross-over muffler to eliminate any drone or resonating sounds. And believe it or not the car is now quieter than my previous SC exhaust.. Maybe to quite but I have not been able to Rev it up past 3K RPM as I am still having tuning problems, I suspect my programming in the PCM is wrong and will have to get professionally tuned More to come on this next week.

A local shop in Tampa did all the welding and ordering of U-bends and piping, The workmanship and quality is awesome to say the least. Given the small space and amount of bends they fabricated the entire setup. Highly Recommended.

It looks like you welded something to the engine cradle from Renegade, are they supports for the cross over muffler?

How is the cooling working out?

Yes,I wanted to be able to remove the exhaust in sections so I added these supports and flanges at the header and before the Cross-over. I was also thinking of having a 2nd set of pipes made that would come off the header and directly into the cross-over which would eliminate the first 2 mufflers. I was actually surprised how quite the car is now but figure once I get it running on 8 cylinders it may be louder.

I have no spark at 2 and 7 which is causing my car to run extremely rich and not able to Rev past 2~3K. Still trouble shooting this problem
