gr8 design. gr8 feb work.

Thanks, lots of plans on the board for this winter. I am probably going to test the limits of the 915 transaxle and have to switch over to a solid metallic clutch.

Amazing what a good camera and great eye can do. Your car always looks mean, but his shot looks down right menacing.

A few more of my car:

That looks incredibly BAD ASS!!!

Seriously, I think that car probably makes people cry with fear when it drives by.

Chuck Norris would drive this car.

Would be a lot more valuable and cooler to use a Porsche motor. Just saying.;)

while I understand your personal point of view. I am not looking for dollar value from the car. The value to me is the smiles per mile I get at 500+hp and zero worries with a one of a kind car. My personal payout is unmeasurable.

With the twins going in over the winter my smiles per mile will near double. ;)

just saying.

You'll still lose less money than buying a new 911. LOL

I RARELY build a car with resale in mind. Sure, just as with other reasons, I want it to be liked by the audience I'm building. But, honestly even a restoration is often going to sale for less than what it took to build. So if you buy new, you lose. If you build to OEM and include time/$, you lose. If you build it to your desire and drive the wheels of it, YOU WIN.

Just saying, Rebel.....if your happy: YOU WIN.

Guys on the Cobra forum always worry about this in relation to color. REALLY? Build it the color you want if this is the car you want. If your going to trade it often, then buy a 3 year old car and do nothing but maintenance to it.

Twins?

Are you TT-ing it?

Awesome car!

That is the plan along with rear coilovers to handle the power

im with you on that rebel. i never consider resale..suppose after years of projects im conditioned to think that if i dont keep it i lose dollars!.... but on the other hand there is the ...satisfaction!

thanks, motorcycle mirrors. I filled the original holes and re-drilled. Total upgrade cost of $30.00 plus my time.

if you do not have a wide body shorter ones look better. I purchased 4 sets of different lengths and returned 3.

Cool Rebel

I lean towards sleepers and your car isn't for sure. But I agree with building something "you" will enjoy. Mine is a light weight 72 with a little extra power from an 81 3.0L. I picked cobra mirrors just because I liked the look.

Drive the wheels off her and enjoy all the looks.

Nice, the Cobra mirrors would look perfect on an 72. the lines would look just right.

I figured if I was putting a V8 in I mine as well make the outside the way I like it. With the twin turbos this winter the whole package will be shouty.

I did get pulled over the other day... as I posted on my facebook:

So the story ends, I didn't get a ticket...
with that being said I got pulled over in the Porsche today.
Sheriff "All most lost you coming over Bay Rd. "

He just want to tell me my exhaust was a bit loud and see what car it was.

Did you tell him that you had all intentions to quiet it down with a couple of snails!
