Well, my wing came and the mock radiator fits with plenty of room to spare!

Hi,
Great job!
Do you see any need to change any suspension parts? How is the car sitting? Does it sit lower or higher than before?
Keep going.

thanks! So far it looks like it is sitting a bit higher but I don't have the radiator in yet. It should be the same or pretty close to the original height. I just replaced the rear struts. My old ones were fine but it seemed like a good time to change them.

Exhaust is in. Probably going to put in a cross flow but going to wait until the motor is on to see how loud this setup is. I used Magnaflow mufflers.

very cool. I love the power delivery of the LS engines. And to think 600hp is only a cam and head swap away.

I like how your exhaust turned out. keep at it...!

I sold my 2004 GTO with the LS1 to buy my 911. You are about to have the best of both worlds!

Very nice swap. Like the reverse option on it. But, that huge tail in a narrow body car doesn't seems like a good package. I think that after the power conversion you'll need some body changes to go with it.
Go on, good job!

balleta,

I couldn't agree with you more. I already took it off. Do you have any ideas to fit such a large radiator. I'm leaning towards the dp935 or do some thing custom - like a scoop on top of the radiator on the turbo lid - then there would be no wing. I will probably mount it on the lid just to get the thing stable and then get it running. After its keeping temp then find a wing...

Some changes...

This setup will allow me to get the car running. Still not sure about wings.

I would consider closing off the hole in the engine lid where the fans are so all the hot radiator air would just blow out the back of the wing (DP wing with a "grill"). The uppermost hole in the lid could stay open for engine breathing..

The big hole is for my future condensor - possibly. Once the car is running I will see where the temps are. Need to get this thing started. I have my fingers crossed that the engine will be fine. I've read too many swaps where the engine bought was blown without the knowledge of the buyer.

funny you mention that. I bought a 6.0L motor out of an 05 Escalade, I was so worried about it that I hooked fuel and a battery up to the engine/trans while it sat on the floor and fired it up. She ran fine but my neighbors thought I was insane

Better to be sure. I got my motor from: Welcome to Contemporary Corvette

They have been around for some time in PA and were recommended. I was really cautious to buy one from some unknown ebayer. Hopefully next week I will find out...

yan, if you are resolute about the radiator being in the rear...over the motor...i would consider adding rear turbo flares so that a large tail would be appropriate. unless you relocate the radiator to the front, i dont see how you can accomplish a suitable balance for the rear wing. with turbo sized flares you could use the tail that you bought, or a teatray, or a dp tail.. hope you get it fired and going today. i am expecting delivery of my Mast Motorsports LS7 engine in about two weeks....

Agree with that idea, but just a temporary cover with before and after temp readings.

The big hole is for my future condensor - possibly. Once the car is running I will see where the temps are. Need to get this thing started. I have my fingers crossed that the engine will be fine. I've read too many swaps where the engine bought was blown without the knowledge of the buyer.

I will consider the condenser in other place, maybe in the front. Just to not get the rear too crowded. Plus it will add more weight to the rear lid.

Good luck!
