Any of you thinking about an LS conversion, I've got a parts deal. I've got a 5-speed 965 G50/52 and LSD with new Kennedy LS to G50/52 conversion plate, new Sachs clutch kit and new Kennedy LS to G50/52 conversion flywheel for sale. The Turbo transmission is supposed good for up to 700HP. I'm asking $8,000 for the package.

FS: 965 Turbo 5 speed:G50/52 w/ LSD, LS conversion plate, flywheel, SACHS clutch kit

So, any updates about the conversion?
Ready to sell? I'm interested, as long as it has AC.

always had a thing for big healeys. did my first v8 conversion while stationed at ft sill back in 1968. they are way to valuable to convert nowadays. but...i found this hotrod 383 sbc conversion at a decent price and will add it to the mix. seems to be a very nice well built conversion. pick it up tomorrow! ill be traveling i40 to knoxville and then i75 on and through cincinnati. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1375696844.jpg

Austin Healey 3000!!! Wait, Austin Healey 6000?
If there is any car I want back that is it. I imagine you will be going back to wire wheels....

no i will keep the wheels i think. they have splined centers and use three eared knockoffs and a little wider than the standard healey wires.

took a little blast down the interstate this morning. cold air does to naturally aspirated what it does for turbocharged. car started right up and idled down per the computer. lots of power on cold mornings....conversion still performs as expected!!!

good grievoes how time passes. my last comment was 10 months ago. since then i have acquired another austin healey...a 1958 bn6 with about 130 horsepower in line six. i drove it this morning for a while and then decided i would break out the 930...nice and cool and little interstate traffic! after driving the healey the porsche seemed like a rocket...acceleration in fourth gear running the speed limit is quick and easy! now where is my 74 bronco to run to the grocery store!!!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1414691984.jpg

Hey Larry, been a while for me also... Since I took some time off, I had a son, got married and sprayed the 930 about 5 times to get the correct sheen.

Vss need

My understanding, you need the VSS to eliminate stalling issues. My conversion used the VSS sprocket "notches" times wheel circumference diameter in the mile. This number or calculations needs to be flashed into the ECM so it knows when the vehicle is in motion. Failure to program the ECM and have it "receive" pulse numbers will cause stalling issues.

i finally got around to removing the 2.4 rear grill badge and replaced with a more correct 7.0! i feel much better as my car is not intended to be a sleeper!!!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1415641364.jpg

deathbyspoon 07-05-2015 12:43 PM

That's a clean looking car. Where'd you find that? I look for government auctions around here sometimes, but nothing that exciting comes up.

lin7310948 07-05-2015 12:51 PM

found a link to it on the mustang ssp forum....first low mileage, bare metal repaint, new old stock interior ssp car i had found...the forum member posted a link to ebay. the seller phone number was listed so i bought it then and did not wait for the auction to end! expect delivery next friday!!
