and who are these others that asked you to stay?[/QUOTE]

Did not want to be combative, just sticking up for sugarwood since no one else does.

on the ass end of my recent Tech forum thread RUF BTR III there was one. Don't know who he is but I thanked him for his thoughts. Loaded that little baby on a truck late November with tears in my eyes! 2 weeks later she was sold to a collector north of country.

No matter what anyone says the 3.2 has incredibly reliable motronic engine management, bigger brakes , quicker 0-60 , higher top speed , lower seats , bigger engine, more power and lined cylinder s for longer bottom end life. The 3.2 is almost a completely new motor compared to the SC. My Carrera lasted 160,000 miles before top end and bottom end was perfect.

Well thanks Matt, but not a tribute. This 89' ROW (WPO) underwent a full engine conversion at the Ruf factory. In 94' it came to this country @ 250K. It even read RUF on the title (Japanese DMV protocol?). So it is the real deal with the exception of the WO9 chassy stamp.

That may well be. But in my experience, as a former owner of a 964 and 993(both far superior cars compared to the 3.2), the SC is just a more enjoyable ride, and my favorite by far. It's just much lighter feeling and quicker in the lower rev ranges. The 3.2 may be great engine as far as HP, but no one is gonna convince me that it is more reliable and more durable than the 3.0. I've heard of 3.0s going for 250K miles before needing a rebuild.

I agree. While my previous comments may have sounded like I favor the 3.2, I was trying to be analytical and objective. If I ever buy another air cooled 911, what it is most likely to be is an SC targa. Darn near perfect cars.

It's a pity that you can just sh-t on anyone or any car you feel like on this forum. Besides showing how much of a JDM loser you are, you show what a MPF loser you are. Dominate the forum, sway your allies and kill anything that doesn't suit you. A real Ruf BTR should NOT be mocked on this forum or by anyone on any Porsche forum period!

Do you have any self awareness at all? You’re the guy who went to Hong Kong, and bought a Rolex and a Gucci track suit at the street market and is now talking trash to the guy wearing a Seiko and Adidas as if you’re somehow superior. You’ve had this project car for decades, and you’ve never even had the joy of driving it. You spent tens of thousands you couldn’t actually afford rebuilding the engine, mostly to impress a bunch of strangers on the internet. And then you sold the car unfinished when you found you lacked the ability to put the thing back together and finish it. Yet you’re still so attached to what it meant to your stature to have owned a Ruf. Nobody cares. You’re just measuring your d1ck in a mirror, looking at your own dang self feeling inadequate.

Nikasil coated cylinders on the 3.2 . I believe it is a gold color on parts.
