My Wife WTB Any 911 Under $10,000

As per the sound advice of the prevous posts,
this is what you are likely to find......

And, the parts and service for a P-Car under 10K
will empty your checkbook in a hurry.

Also, might leave your wife stranded somewhere,
and not happy!

All joking aside, you can probably get a nice roller (no motor/gearbox) for under 10 grand.

BUT. You will need to do the brakes and bearings maybe new lines. Then whats next on the list? RUST.
Are you going to buy a running car or are you going to restore a car by the time you get done.

I've got bothg early and late cars and know what you can get into.
All I can say is look around and see whats out there and what shape it's in before you spend.

It can happen, but you have got to be lucky.

Don't forget eBay; I bought my high milage 1984 911 Targa on eBay 3 years ago for $10500 and the original motor is strong. Rust free California 1 owner car. Don't be afraid to ship one in and don't expect it to be perfect. Mine required some simple and not too expensive fixes to be drivable. Unfortunately, then I got the itch to drive it on the track and my wallet took a beating.

Your wife does know that A/C on these cars is practically non-existent, doesn't she? For a DD in the South, an older 911 would not be my first choice. Cool looking, yes, but the sweat rolling off your face is not cool.
