1974 Pricing Help

I have a good friend who may want to sell his 1974 911 Coupe. Bahama Yellow with tan interior. 100% original with all paper work, COA and Original sticker, no paint work, no non OEM parts, every service record, second owner. He worked at a Porsche dealer for many years. Stunning all original car No sunroof.

He is considering a sale and I am just trying to get some other opinions on its value.

All opinions are appreciated, thanks

Would love to see the car. Can you email me some photos?

Thanks in advance.

Miles? "S" or non-s? Fuchs or Cookies? Sounds nice. pics help. How are the usual rust spots? It sounds like it should be a $13-16K car, imho. But we all know the number of alternative SC, 3.2s etc in that price range. He would need to hold out for top dollar (ie prepare for a long sell)

Love 74s...... Depending upon detail a very solid car can sell into the 20s... a very nice gulf blue was for sale for $40,000.

Hard to tell without more info and photos, but $40k 74's are few and far between. For a well maintained driver level car, I would expect around $10k and still be prepared to wait for a buyer.

This is more than a basic driver and its more than a 10k car.... Its not a 40k car I would not expect many 74's to draw that kind of dollar. The car is not officially for sale but I will pass interested party;s to the owner

Thanks

Totally agree with Luke's comments. I would include 75's in there as well (but not 76 or 77). Original paint, all there unmolested 74/75 cars will bring suprisingly strong money for the right buyers. Definitely into the 20's and more for pristine cars. The values will only go up for original paint, rust free cars.

This guy's car is probably on par with the blue one although I would pay more for that color of blue. I dont expect the seller to seek anywhere near the price where the blue one is offered.

Luke ... the car is owned by one of the service writers here.
