Talking Selling my vehicle- need some help

guess i posted this in the wrong area b4

This is the first car I owned and is fully paid for. its a 94' 911 with about 49k on it. I want something more economical. I have been told many different things about selling Porsche. I was first just going to trade it in but my friend told me they would eat me alive at the dealership and I would practically get nothing for it.

Then I heard ebay motors was good but im unsure about the fee and I hear alot of headaches come from the buyers. I also heard that a used car dealership works well but they take a large chuck of your money.

What should I do? for sale by owner, trade in, used car dealership, ebay?
if anyone has knowledge on this, please help me out.

I would love to hear about what would be "more economical".. what do you mean by that?

Running cost?
Insurance?
Fuel?

You will take quite a hit by trading it in.

What model '94 911? Turbo? Coupe? Targa? Cab? C2? C4? Your car has pretty low miles for its vintage and there is a cult following for the 964 type 911.

If you want to maximize its value, you need to sell it yourself. you need to be well versed in the car.. maintenance history? color combo? upgrades? How long have you had it? why are you selling it etc etc.

Get stuck with an enthusiast and they will ask 1,000 more questions and would love to see as many pictures as possible (outside, inside, rear seats, trunk, engine compartment, underside of car etc.

Seriously though, I say keep it.

Sell it here on the classifieds. Or locally on craigslist. Where are you located? I can help you sell it if you are in L.A.

Porsche Crest Help Again!!

Hey Guys,
I appreciate all the help I decided to go two routes. I posted it on craigslist because the post was free and I received a bunch of inquires on it. But the problem with craigslist is everyone is looking for a crazy deal. I even got someone trying to trade me tools, equipment, and services for the car...C'mon
So I decided to go to my friend, who used ebay for his SUV, It was good but there was fees...w/e can get everything for free. But what i did like was you can set a reserve and you didnt have to hassle with customers too much. anyway I sold it on ebay.

But now I have a problem, I need to ship my car to Scottsdale, AZ and the guy wants it enclosed and through a large cooperation because apparently he had a problem with one in the past.
I saw a company Gran Turismo Motorsports on here...The guy I talked too was very helpful. has anyone used them before?

The buyer should be the one responsible for arranging the transport. That way if anything screws up with the transporter it's nothing to do with you, the seller.

Unless you offered to arrange/pay for transportation in the auction (which would have been very foolish), simply tell the buyer to arrange transport and let you know who will come to your place to pick up the car, and when they will be there. Your role should be limited to handing over the keys to the tranport guy.

What dienstuhr said. Your should only be responsible for the car to the end of your driveway. You should have asked the brain trust here on how to set up / word your auction. I sure hope you did not offer free shipping or something of that sort.

Send us the link to the auction!

Good Luck,

George
